Due to unforeseen circumstances Jeff and I will not be able to make Leicester this year  I'd booked for two nights at the Hilton for us, (Friday and Saturday) and they're the cheap ones so I can't cancel them. Therefore they're going spare, so if anyone hasn't yet booked I'm happy to sell the room for one or two nights cheap! Or, if you're happy to gamble, will give them away on the day  Anthea x

Sounds good to me. What's it like meeting up with the people you talk to on here? I guess it's like meeting old mates.
I will check my diary and let you know.
If anyone gets in before me then that's not a problem.

its April 24th /25 th but just check the dates lunch is £15 is a good lunch . It was good last year and year before at Stratford come and join us . christine The chocolate eating housewife ...The washer woman .....naughty lady

As you say, white horse, it's just like meeting up with mates you've known for ages. I was a meet-up virgin last year and everyone was so very friendly that Jeff and I had a wonderful time. I'm gutted that I can't make it this year Anthea x

Whitehorse, it is a fab time to meet the revelers. So nice to see everyone in the flesh after sometimes years of "chatting" on line.
I am going with richard and 2 of the children (michael and bernice) as Gems is in her special school but it will be lovely. Bernice is an energetic and err enthusiastic 2 yr old so if you lacked entertainment she can do lots!

Anthea, what a sham you cant go. I hope you get a taker for the tickets. I'm sure it would be a really great weekend. Its too far for us, plus we dont drive, so cost a fortune in train fares. Hope everyone enjoys themselves x BARBARA

Debbie - it would be great to meet you - and there is nothing to be nervous about - we're all bonkers! (Oh, maybe that's why you are nervous?!) The forumers really are a great crowd. This is the third annual get-together we have had and they seem to get better every year. The hotel is great - there's a pool - and it's only a shot distance from Leicester if you want to have a nosey around. PLEASE COME!!!

Well, actually, NO, IT WONT and I'm still hoping you can make it. Kathleen and Lyn will be almost impossible to control. Mind you, Barbara is hoping to get there, so maybe between us, and with Amanda's help, we can reign them in!

Believe me, if Barbara comes (and I am working on this most diligently!) we won't be good for reigning anybody in, but will need to be reigned in ourselves........which is where Mark comes into it! LOL
